“As a foreigner I wanted to represent something which characterises the city of Wellington. First thing which came to mind was the wind, an invisible element yet so prominent.
Very difficult to materialise, I decided to represent the wind as a conductor which led the nature and the boats into the bay of Wellington. Curves, dynamics and lines are here to emphasise this feeling.
Boats are symbolised by the geometric shapes in black and white, while the nature is represented by the coloured and intertwined elements.”
